Issue #10532: Blizzard spell damage affected by caster's magic/frost resistance
From USKP Thread #24 Post #141 Hopukka
I don't know if you've checked the Blizzard spell out at all yet, but ticking the "ignore resistances" box in the CK seems to completely fix it from what I can see. Without it checked, the spell calculates it's base damage as if it was cast on yourself, so your resistances can affect it. With it checked, your resistances don't matter, but enemy resistances decrease and increase its damage properly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- bluedanieru #143 Augmented Frost perks will get applied twice, as well. To fix that you need to remove the MagicDamageFrost keyword from FrostDamageHazardArea40. Probably a good idea set "Resist Value" to "NONE" as well, although checking "Ignore Resistance" on the spell should be enough, and will work for general magic resistance not just frost resistance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The issue with Blizzard spell has been raised before, but due to lacking good description Issue #8008 was resolved as invalid. I opened a new ticket for it as I wasn't sure how you feel about commenting on closed bugs and weather or not they get any attention. |

I was just looking through the changelog to see if it was fixed, but I might have missed it. Is Blizzard still bugged where the players frost/magic resistance reduces the damage dealt by the spell?

I copied this over from a larger (unpublished) plugin of mine, and while I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything a second pair of eyes never hurts.
