I hesitate to take reports from reddit at face value, but the video attached to the first post crashes in the same area as yours.
Crossing from cell 9,7 into cell 9,8 crashes, which is in the same loaded area as approaching 11,7 out of 12,7. So there's one coming up from the south, with all indications being that Longfellow is nowhere to be found. Plus one where you're on the escort quest headed in the opposite direction.
Tentative conclusion here is that the trigger box setting stage 506 is a red herring. That trigger box happens to be straddling the border between 11,7 and 12,7, and it appears as though an area is being narrowed down which has some sort of bad data in it.

So for anyone keeping track of this one, Turtle is in the process of narrowing down where this is crashing.
The good news: It's apparently not due to a bad quest edit.
The bad news: It appears to be something out of whack with a worldspace edit.
Which one? Who knows, at least for now, but it was verified by brute force with a copy of the patch where ALL worldspace edits to the island were removed from the .esp file and so far only those things residing in the Persistent Cell on the island have been proven safe.

Cell 7,7 being present in the patch (3 minor placement edits) has been confirmed as one source of crashing. This cell will need to be added to the editing blacklist for the future.
