Issue #25706: Door will not open after killing Sigdis/Sigdis doesn't teleport

I have to collect the Gauldur fragment in Geirmund's hall. I have reloaded multiple save files to try to fix this issue and have had no success. I go through the entire place and get to Sigdis. All the other times I've played, I can kill him as soon as he gets out of his coffin/sarcophagus thing and proceed along in the Forbidden legend quest. This playthrough I can not. I read things online and things suggested if he is killed before teleporting, the back door won't open. Well, go figure, he doesn't want to teleport either. I have tried luring him, killing him with range, melee, and magic. Nothing works to get him to teleport or have the door open when he dies. I'm finished with this part of the quest until something happens. Hopefully it won't have to go unfinished as I'm OCD about completing everything  I still have a lot of things to do though.

No, he does not fall through the floor when I kill him. Yes, I can loot his body.

This is also my first time in this location, I didn't go in and clear/loot it before the quest.

This is just a theory, but is it possible he was killed using a Turn Undead spell or other effect that disintegrates the enemy?
