Issue #34878: Seemingly permanent dark aura

Character exudes what can only be described as a dark bluish purple ki-like aura gathering towards the body (similar to Embrace of Shadows effect). I’ve taken off every piece of armor and clothing, checked the active effects and am unable to determine the cause of the aura. It also has negated any stealth attempts as even at max stealth, all enemies automatically spot me.

Can you share a copy of your save file?

Apologies for the late reply. The issue seems to have resolved itself, after my character read the Dragon Elder Scroll for the main story line and came back from the past, all the effects seem to have gone away. I have no way of knowing if this is the only way to resolve permanent effect issues, but I did save immediately as to solidify my save file post-fix. If you would still like me to share my game file, I would be more than happy to figure out how to do that so that this may be of some use!

Since you're reporting this for PlayStation you should be aware that the only solution to these kinds of unwanted effects requires an object that can remove those effects via script. That's not something we can do on PS.

On PC or XBox you'd be able to go to the temple in Whiterun to use the book that's been set up to remove unwanted effects.
