Issue #35552: Workshop Shack Stair 01 Missing Stairhelper

It looks like Bethesda mixed up the workshop vs non-workshop versions of Shack Stair 01. The non-workshop version (formID 00075804) has the required stairhelper (white plane visible in CK collision view) which makes it easier for NPCs to use stairs placed in workshop mode. The workshop version (formID 000E0BB1) does not have the stair helper. Simply adding object navmesh and swapping the constructible object to the non-workshop version should fix this problem.

I'm not sure I understand where this should be fixed. Looking at both in the CK, the only difference I see is that the non-workshop one is marked as a non-occluder.

After looking into it further myself I realized they are different sizes so switching them wouldn't work anyway. If you view the non-workshop stair in Collision view (F4) you can see a white outlined plane. That's a stair helper and it helps NPCs with navigating stairs in addition to the navmesh. So the workshop one will need to have a stair helper applied to it. If no one on your team has the right tools (3ds Max 2013 and Bethesda plugin) and knowledge for that let me know and I'll figure out how to add it, I know where a tutorial for it is.

As far as I know, nobody has Max to be able to manipulate collision. If you could provide a fixed mesh for this that would be greatly appreciated.

Ok made new version with stair helper. Tested in settlement, saw two NPCs use it without any of the typical stopping and turning motions when they struggle. You should be able to just drop this new mesh into the location of the vanilla one and it'll pick up vanilla record navmesh, no record changes necessary.

5 attached images. 3 showing the vanilla and new version of the workshop stair with stair helper as well as a different vanilla workshop stair for comparison of how it should look in Collision View. White outlined portion of the mesh is the stair helper collision box. Two images of NPC's using the new stairs. Plus new mesh file which I give freely to the Unofficial patch project with no expectations other than you don't sell it commercially.
