Issue #36067: Grosta will not begin her workday unless the PC enters her home

 
Hello,

Grosta still appears to have difficulty starting her work day - she will not begin it unless you enter her home. Gralnach exits the home fine and has no issues running his package, so I do not believe this to be a navmesh issue. Curiously, if you enter her home, wait, and do not exit the cell, she will also run through her package. It appears she just needs player input to start.

I have verified this occurs with only UKSEP effecting the navmesh/area/npcs. I believe it is likely a vanilla bug with many components, as I know UKSEP has addressed issues like this with her in the past.

A clarification, if you enter the home, then exit and do not exit that cell of the world, she appears to run through her schedule without issue. But if you exit the cell, say by fast traveling, the issue will re-occur.

Yeah, unfortunately it's still not working. That was me who filed the report about a year and a half ago where the minor navmesh issue was addressed (Issue #34017). The fix worked once or maybe twice and then once the cell reset she refused to come out again like before. There's no doubt in my mind that it's a vanilla bug, but I'm starting to wonder if it's game engine related. Sylgia had a similar issue that was solved by adding navmesh triangles that were missing to the door in her home, but I can't imagine that hasn't already been checked in the Heartwood Mill home.

I almost wonder if it's something to do with the Fight or Flight quest. I once encountered something very odd with Stump - the dog in Riverwood - he sat himself down on one of the walkways above the road into Riverwood and refused to move for heaven or earth. I tried cell resets, waiting, etc. Nothing doing.

Then did the favor for Alvor and got guards in Riverwood and Stump left the walkway and resumed his normal schedule.

Oddest thing. Never seen it since.

It wouldn't shock me if completing fight or flight cleared this issue up.
