Issue #12792: Strange/damaged eyes of my player

My player periodicaly experiences "damaged eyes" - please see the image that I attached. The mesh/graphics that represent the eye turns wrong somehow. I still haven't figured out what triggers this, but the only cure that I've found is to reload the saved file. Annoys me a bit, as it happens more frequently these days.

Running everything latest & greatest with all DLCs and all unofficial patches (though this was happening since the beginning and before any of DLC was released).

All invisibility effect (including Shadow warrior) cause this. as far as i know, there is no working solution, that is within the scope of the USKP. it's an engine bug related to the refraction shader applied when invisible.

the only working solutions currently include: disabling the refraction shader from all invisibility effect, unsing the console command to change gender or weight, or have an SKSE extended mod, that automatizes these things for you.
check the Nexus for such workarounds.

Thanks! You're totally right, that's what is causing it! And now I got a shadow warrior perk... no wonder I see it more often.

But I'm curious why Bethesda haven't fixed this obvious bug... more than obvious I guess?!

The issued described here is the same as in Bug #175. That one's WAY older.
