The only way to remove the journal entry is to use console or kill Fethis Alor.
Per stage 10 fragment comment:

Except that items in strongboxes don't respawn. Ever. And every pendant is placed inside one, so there actually are only 33 of them.
A way to make this work as the quest designer intended, would be to make items in those strongboxes to respawn, but I'm not sure if you are willing to edit them.

Ah, right. Good thing they've used a dedicated strongbox container for this. Easy fix in that case. It's now set to respawn as intended and will be in for UDBP 1.0.4.
