Issue #13050: Dwemer scrap metal cannot be smelted

 
USKP#32.128 The following can be melted into ingots: C8874 Solid Dwemer Metal, C8872 Large Dwemer Strut, C8878 Large Decorative Dwemer Strut, C886C Bent Dwemer Scrap Metal, C8864 Large Dwemer Plate Metal, and C8866 Small Dwemer Plate Metal.



However, "Bent Dwemer Scrap Metal" can be smelted into Ingots, whereas unbent "Dwemer Scrap Metal" [C886A] can't. I think that's a bug.





Other Dwemer items include: AEBF1 Dwemer Cog, C8861 Dwemer Gear, C886E Dwemer lever, C8870 Small Dwemer Lever, and C8868 Dwemer Gyro.



I do not think that finely crafted items like Dwemer Gyros should be smelted, but Cogs, gears and leavers should be smeltable into ingots.





The weights and values do not really correlate, either, with large and small versions weighing the same and having the same gold piece value.

The gold value for pieces that can be melted seem to be derived from the number of ingots they produce, each ingot produced is worth 5 gold.



I doubt you're willing to edit the weight and value of these items, but Dwemer Scrap Metal (C886A) should be made smeltable and produce 3 Dwarven Metal Ingots to be inline with the rest.

Beware, some of these metal pieces are used in the counter from a radiant quest (at least one, maybe more), and I fear malfunctionning in the same way as the crimson nirnroot plants. Modifying them should require advanced testing.

As far as I'm aware only cogs are used in a quest. However, the top part of the bug is from another user in the USKP thread (I'm only reposting it with my comments below the line).

I only actively encourage the change making the Dwemer Scrap Metal (C886A) smeltable. The other stuff, that's his view, leaving it out felt like I would be editing his text too much.

Only the missing smelt recipe has been generated, no weights or values are going to be touched.

Not getting into the expanded list the second part of the post wants either.
