Issue #13240: Paarthurnax' fixed tooth has texture/UV issue

you know, the one that was missing and appeared black with the official HD texture DLC? (picture shown in this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8236//?)

well if you look closely, the texture doesn't quite fit there actually and a seam is visible at all times.

not sure if this should be fixed on the mesh or the texture, i bet texture might be easier, but fixing it on the mesh might remove the problem for all retextures as well...

Strictly vanilla:

Not sure though if it's a UV error with the tooth or a texture issue. It's present regardless of whether or not the hi-res DLC is loaded.

after some digging through the files, i think i found the issue.
the tooth has no normal data, that spot on the normal map is completely blanc.
and indeed, the issue is more pronounced in sunlight and less so in foggy or cloudy weather.
changing the tooth's color saturation also had no positive effect.

the issue should be moved to textures, and who ever has experience with normal maps should have a look at this.

And 3 years later, here we are. This clearly isn't going anywhere.
