Damn, I thought maybe the book needed raising from the stone. It's also interesting that the book had the same clipping marks on your end too.

Actually, it looks like the problem here is that the rock just has terrible collision on it. Doubt that's going to get fixed anytime soon (if ever), so I went with moving the book next to the chest nearby. It seems to stay put there without clipping with anything. Obviously, it can still be moved if bumped but it should be a better location than on top of that rock.
