Issue #19511: Missing wood textures on the way to Dragonreach
I'm missing some wood textures on the way to Dragonreach in Whiterun. Affected are only the 13 large wooden beams of the bridge to Dragonreach. It is hard for me to explain, so I have taken some screenshots to show them to you.
First I've created a new character without any custom mods (had just the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn and the HighResTexturePack01/02/03 installed) and everything lokked as it was supposed to look: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/ii0b0o0bvhih23b/Skyrim_Legacy_wo_USKP.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Legacy without USKP installed</a> Same picture with the Unofficial High Resolution Patch installed: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/7rchz6j12mej27q/Skyrim_Legacy_wo_USKP_w_UHRP.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Legacy without USKP but with UHRP installed</a> At the moment I install the USKP, I encounter some missing textures: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/i23jzu5bxw4gr17/Skyrim_Legacy_w_USKP_w_UHRP.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Legacy with USKP and UHRP installed</a> Installing a texture pack (e.g. Skyrim HD Full or lite) makes no difference: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/tjlg7f4psqzu4um/Skyrim_Legacy_w_USKP_w_UHRP_w_UDGP_w_UHFP_w_UDBP_w_SHDFull.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Legace with USKP, UHRP, UDGP, UHFP, UDBP and Skyrim HD</a> The textures are only missing on two sides, the other sides are just fine: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/eybq8ljk42878yt/Skyrim_Legacy_w_USKP_w_UHRP_w_UDGP_w_UHFP_w_UDBP_w_SHDFull_opposite_direction.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Legacy with USKP, UHRP, UDGP, UHFP, UDBP and Skyrim HD, opposite direction</a> <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/mq135bk3mbg9f10/Skyrim_Legacy_w_USKP_w_UHRP_w_UDGP_w_UHFP_w_UDBP_w_SHDFull_underneath.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Legacy with USKP, UHRP, UDGP, UHFP, UDBP and Skyrim HD, underneath</a> <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/v0i4zy3mu6snawz/Skyrim_Legacy_w_USKP_w_UHRP_w_UDGP_w_UHFP_w_UDBP_w_SHDFull_RightSide.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Ledgacy with USKP, UHRP, UDDG, UHFP, UDBP and Skyrim HD, right side</a> <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/x96zm6gudpsdb64/Skyrim_Legacy_w_USKP_w_UHRP_w_UDGP_w_UHFP_w_UDBP_w_SHDFull_LeftSide.jpg?dl=0">Skyrim Ledgacy with USKP, UHRP, UDDG, UHFP, UDBP and Skyrim HD, left side</a> |

Good catch. There's an error in a shader option on a previously fixed mesh. I've never looked closely before, thought it was just shadows lol.

If you simply turned vertex colors off in the shader, the original mesh does have some non-white/opaque vertices on the NiTriShape in question. What was done to that NiTriShape? There's a vertex count difference with the original, I presume it's related to whatever was fixed on it.
Ahaa: <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/tracdown/issue/11946-wrcastlebridge01nif-multiple-holes-and-gaps/'>http://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/tracdown/issue/11946-wrcastlebridge01nif-multiple-holes-and-gaps/</a>
An old fix. Hana says that this was made before a big bug with vertex coloring in the 3DS Max plugin was discovered. That's why there's no vertex color data for that.
Restoration of vertex coloring is coming up...

Fix file! The portions of the NiTriShape in question that had vertex coloring were deleted in the fix, so simply turning off vertex coloring in the BSLightingShaderProperty was enough.

Additionally, I cleared out extraneous vertex color data on several other NiTriShapes in this nif, and turned off vertex coloring for them. The entirety of their vertex color arrays were white-opaque... which is the understood coloration/transparency if vertex color/alpha is turned off. Any pieces that had even just one non-white/opaque vertex in the array were left unaltered from the last USKP handling. Makes me wonder how many other Whiterun meshes have extraneous vertex color arrays...
