If you drop them out of your inventory, they stay floating on thin air.

Can confirm this. I drop all my junk so i can manually scrap it. They do stay floating in the air.

Props\Typewriter\Typewriter.nif

This is a mesh issue. Yes, this is the correct mesh for the Carlisle typewriters. They actually have the names backward on the meshes :P

Anyway, definitely just hangs there when dropped. BSX flags on the normal ones are 194, Carlisle is 130, but changing that didn't fix dropping it. So it must be something in the currently inaccessible collision data.

Can someone try this:

I simply replaced the collision object of typewriter.nif with that of typerwriter_rare.nif. They did not have the same size.

The '64' value for BSXFlags is "bDynamic" in Skyrim and I think it's the same in FO4, so I also changed the BSX to 194 to be safe. I will eventually upgrade the UI for the flags.

By the way, this is a duplicate of Issue #20189 (sorry).

The mesh from Issue #20189 works so we'll go with that. Checked it, no weirdness, crashes, or otherwise. It dropped straight to the ground as expected.

The link in Jon's comment is invalid now anyway so.... :P
