Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch

In the Randolph Safehouse quest series from the Railroad unfortunately the random locations include locations in Far Harbour. This is similar to other quest series with random quest targets, like the quest series from the BoS. They wanted to make the list of possible targets longer and more diverse, but it does not really fit to the story and is a Bad Idea, IMHO.

I just received Randolph Safehouse #6, and went to the Dead-Drop. The message there is truncated, it says 'Clear hostiles at'. No location name. This is not a new bug, but quite confusing for the player, who has to suspect a buggy quest.

The reason: When the quest is generated (i. e. when Drummer Boy tells you to go to the Dead-Drop) and the player did not yet visit Far Harbour, the name of the location is missing. It is not filled in, when you go the Far Harbour. The quest marker is correct in Far Harbour, only the message is truncated.

It does not help, when you delay going to the Dead-Drop and fetching the message until after you visited Far Harbour. Obviously the message is created when the quest is created, not when you fetch the message from the Dead-Drop.

The bug is known and mentioned in the Wiki. Should be possible to correct, because the BoS quests 'Cleansing the Commonwealth' and 'Quartermastery' both have random quests targets and unfortunately also include FH locations, and there you will always have a name in it, even if you never visited FH before. (When I first installed FH, I was quite baffled because of this).
