Issue #23922: Can't initiate conversation with Machete Mike during "Hull Breach"

 
I've just collected the power tools for stage one of the Far Harbour quest "Hull Breach", but when I try to talk to Machete Mike, my PC just says "Hey, Dejen", Mike replies with "I'd have words with you", and no conversation starts.

I've also got the "Hunting the Hunter" quest active; I've killed the courser but haven't reported back to Dejen yet. I'm guessing that's where the "Hey, Dejen" is coming from, and the code for the two quests is erroneously tangled up somehow?

And I just discovered the bug is broader than I initially assumed. I tried to talk to my companion, Nick Valentine, to get him out of his power armour, but while the initial menu came up normally, when I select "Talk" instead of getting the second menu my PC just says "Hey, Dejen" and Nick responds with a random greeting.

Going to go to Dejen now; hopefully finishing the quest will clear this up.

Okay, finishing the quest does appear to have fixed the bug.

Now that I know the bug is in "Hunting the Hunter" and not "Hull Breach", is there a way to edit the description of the bug?
