Issue #24594: Cambridge Polymer Labs (quest) listed as failed after successful completion

 
Listed as a verified bug on the wiki:
"After Molly shuts down when completing the quest, the quest log will mark the research portion of the quest as failed. The player character will still have the Piezonucleic chest armor. One can open console and use the commands CompleteAllObjectives 284bc or CompleteAllObjectives DN015 to complete the quest, but one will be need to used before Molly shuts down, or the quest will still be marked as failed"

Not a big surprise because the quest calls FaillAllObjectives() in its end fragment.
Now the question is what they actually wanted to do instead because there are several inconsistencies.

Yeah, it failed on my game too. It looks like they wanted you to complete the research project based upon the remaining entry in the journal (screenshot).
