Issue #24998: Alias not getting filled in Raider's Note associated with RETreasureHuntSC01NoteCaps

It's apparently possible for the dungeon alias not to get filled on rare occasions when picking up a Raider's Note (RETreasureHuntSC01NoteCaps) associated with the "Treasure Hunt: Raider hunting for Caps" (RETreasureHuntSC01NoteCaps) radiant quest. Instead of showing the location name, it shows three periods in brackets ([...]) instead. See screenshot.

I was able to find several things that reference the note: see screenshot.

It looks like a form list, a book container, and then the quest itself (and its template). No idea what to look for from there and if it's possible to track down where the error is that causes this bug to occur.

Known issue with all treasure hunt quests Note that there is at least one duplicate of this report somewhere on the tracker.

However, the problem is not the alias not being filled. It's actually the notes from previous treasure hunt quests not storing the location names after those quests have finished running. This is what I see in my own game if I have at least one note from previous (already finished) treasure hunt quests still in my inventory:

* I find a body with a treasure hunt quest note and pick up that note.
* Now the first thing that happens is that this note stacks with the notes that I still have in my inventory (it should not, see below).
* I access the note stack in my pip-boy and see that the note has "[...]" instead of a location name. The first time this happened, I thought this was the note I just picked up, but it wasn't (see below)
* On subsequent occasions, I checked the notes in my inventory before and after picking up the new one and found out that the game displays the old notes first if I access the note stack. To get to read the note I just picked up, I had to drop the ones with the three periods one by one, and finally had one note left with a proper location name. This note was not in my inventory before, so this was the one I just picked up. Don't know why the new one comes up last if I access the stack, and I also don't know why the notes stack at all. The new one with a location name should not stack with the ones that don't have one.

Now, If we make it that older notes keep their location name, this actually won't fix anything, given the fact that the notes are stacking and older notes are displayed first when you access that stack. Thus, if all notes keep their location names, you lose any control on which note you just picked up.

Wouldn't it be better instead to let the individual quests forcibly remove the notes from the player's inventory when they shut down ?
