Issue #29169: 'Deleted' navmesh
Please take a look at the navmesh xx079AF6. The navmesh itself is not flagged as deleted but it consists of only one triangle that is flagged as deleted (seen when the simple records option is turned off).
This is being posted as a result of a convo in the xEdit Discord: Cecell While looking through these navmeshes I just noticed that with simple records turned off you can see that each triangle has its own set of flags. There is a navmesh with only one triangle where the navmesh itself isn't deleted but its only triangle has the deleted flag. I guess should it be referenced, the navmesh itself is still in existence but it has no substance. Is this a viable option for 'nullifying a navmesh'? A method that is in addition to moving the navmesh to -30k? Mentha Today at 11:00 AM IMO, No. There is a tutorial floating around by Arthmoor that shows a lot of navmesh tricks that people don't follow. ElminsterAUToday at 11:02 AM Anything that starts with the thought of "how do i delete this navmesh" is already doomed to failure CecellToday at 11:56 AM So then I should report that on the USSEP bug tracker. Lemme get on that then Finally found it. In the USSEP it is 05079AF6. Have to view with simple records off of course |
I'm not entirely sure what the hell happened here, but two navmeshes (05079AF6 and 05079AF4) got added to Wolfskull Cave that were not connected to anything and were literally just a scattering of random verts off in the ether. I only noticed it at all in the CK because there was a very thin yellow line off in the distance once I switched off the level geometry so that only the navmesh was visible.
These have been removed now. Fortunately they were not impacting anything and no other mods would have had issues with it because they were exclusive to the USSEP itself and would have been inaccessible without deliberately looking for the same thin line I spotted.
