Issue #29312: Valerica doesn't return to castle Volkihar

 
After completing the dawnguard quest line by defeating Harkon and returning to Valerica in the soulcain and telling her that he is dead she states that she is thankful and will collect some of her things and return to tamriel. She does not come back to her study room or the castle.

This isn't something that happens instantly btw. She will remain in the Soul Cairn for a bit after you leave, then she'll show up in the castle later.
