Issue #31493: Subtitle spelling issue: Det. McDonnell's holotape
The speaker of the subtitle of Det. McDonnell's holotape is written as "McDonnall", when it should be "McDonnell"
DN107_Holotape02 https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Det._McDonnell%27s_holotape |
I am sorry, but this is not correct.
The speaker's name is shown, when subtitles are turned on. That way I encountered it in-game.
here is an example of what it looks like:

As it turns out the issue has nothing to do with the subtitle text at all. The actor (DN107_McDonnall), who never actually appears in the game, has a misspelled name in the game data. Thanks for providing the video link because it was unclear to me from the wiki information where you were seeing the misspelling. The heading that identifies the speaker when playing a holotape is directly linked to the name field in the actor record.

Oh, I guess it was once again a case where the root cause was more convoluted, that it appeared to be.
I'm glad you were able to properly identify it 👍
