Issue #32448: Alchemy tower recipe has wrong number of doors

There should be 2, not 3.

Found two related forms:

BYOHHouseRecipe150Room8ADoor [COBJ:03003CAB]
BYOHHouseRecipe350Room8BDoor [COBJ:0300957C]

Are there others that need to be fixed?

I'm not sure what you have proposed as a fix is accurate either.

I started up a game using LAL to accelerate the building of the main house. Then went to the drafting table outside to add the Alchemy Laboratory. Once that was set up, I went to the workbench and asked it to build the doors. After feeding it the supplies it wanted I went back behind the house to note that 2 doors were placed. These are double doors, not single doors. So given how the formulas work, I don't think 6 hinges and 6 nails are actually enough. It should be 8 hinges, and in theory 16 nails to put those hinges into place.

Then assuming that each log represents one half of a double door, it should likely have been 4 logs instead of 3 to put these in. No idea where the iron fittings are supposed to enter into this, but chances are that too should be 4, not 3.

But - it should be 2 locks because only one side of each pair of double doors would need a lock.

I'm also not sure why you have 2 COBJ records listed. The way this system works you should only be dealing with one at a time.

I'm not presenting this as a strong opinion on the matter either way, just as another factor for consideration:

But - it should be 2 locks because only one side of each pair of double doors would need a lock.

...unless it's intended that you're pre-building the materials for the external trapdoor to the roof.
The trapdoor doesn't appear until you've built later sections of the tower, but it is a door, would need hinges, and a lock on it would make sense as well since it opens to the outside.
I don't believe you get charged for those materials when adding the canopy, but they (logically) had to come from somewhere.

None of the towers require hinges or locks for the trap doors. If we want to start fixing all the recipes to be more realistic, then we should have a broader discussion topic.

The entry hall to the main hall is one double door. Recipe is "Iron Fittings, Sawn Log, Lock, 2 Hinge, 2 Nails".

Two double doors is "2 Iron Fittings, 2 Sawn Log, 2 Lock, 4 Hinge, 4 Nails", as seen for Kitchen and Greenhouse.

Three double doors: "3 Iron Fittings, 3 Sawn Log, 3 Lock, 6 Hinge, 6 Nails".

But the alchemy tower has only 2 double doors, as it is on the narrow north side. So three double door recipe is wrong.

I've got 2 COBJ records because that's what a search found. Probably only one is used? I've never quite figured out how the system works.
