Issue #32480: Courier does not deliver any message, no notification at top of screen, says that's all

 
I've had this happen two ways.

After entering Breezehome the second time with a few (but not all) furnishings, Lydia arrives for the first time, I dismiss Uthgerd, ask Lydia to follow. Upon leaving Breezehome, a courier accosted me, delivers his opening and departing lines, but none of the usual intervening comments. No notification on screen. No note.

Thinking this was an odd glitch, quit to desktop and reloaded inside, exited again. No courier. Went to Bannered Mare. On exit the same courier arrives, again no standard comment or notification or note.

No script log messages. Any ideas how to debug?

Debugged it by doing different things (quickly leaving and entering Whiterun, Breezehome) until something different happened.

I'd just turned level 32 during my sleep in Breezehome. The quest note that eventually appeared was for https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Heart_of_Crimson (Alternative Armors - Ebony Plate), one of the periodically given (zero cost) CC armor.

Still no "Item added" or note added or whatever notification. I'd thought that was fixed by US*P long ago. Oh well, this probably needs to be reported for the unofficial CC bugs. We should add that project to the tracker.

The notification issue was fixed in vanilla. I have no idea what the AE DLCs are doing when they call for the courier, but chances are those need to have adjustments made by Garthand if they're tied in with the vanilla courier system.
