Issue #32567: Game Crashes On Launch when DLC Patches Enabled

 
When the Unofficial Oblivion DLC Patches are enabled, the game crashes a second after launching, during the Bethesda intro. Other installed mods are:
  • 4gb Ram Patcher
  • NorthernUI
  • Oblivion Script Extender
  • SkyBSA
  • Unofficial Oblivion Patch
  • Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch


Disabling just the DLC Patches seems to fix the crash issue.

And do you actually have the other DLCs? Cause if not, that's an insta-CTD due to missing masters.

Yes. I have all DLC through Steam's Game of the Year edition.

At least in my experience, the other DLC is part of the GOTY Deluxe edition on steam, not the first option. (The $15 only has Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, the $20 option has all of them, but only in English, which I believe why two editions exist.)

I suppose I would need to check to be absolutely sure I have all of them, but I do have all of the houses I know of, the Mehrune's Razor quest, the Orrery, and the horse armor, as it gave me those quests in-game. It did not warn me about any missing masters when activating the DLC Patches.

I'm also having a crash at startup with the unofficial patch for the DLCs, specifically the Knights of the Nine. Just downloaded them from Nexus, mod says it's version 1.1.8. Game will run with all the others enabled.

Fairly sure this is a load order issue.

Oblivion "Game of the Year Edition" doesn't come with all of the DLCs, so you would indeed crash had you installed all of the DLC patches from the UODP.

Only the GOTY Deluxe Edition comes with everything.

As for the other issue with Knights, that's likely either a load order issue or another mod causing the CTD.
