Following from our discussion on discord. The USSEP version of the Blades armors has weird broken normals on the shoulders that causes strange zigzags. See screenshots (in both screenshots, left side is Vanilla, right side is USSEP).
To quote ra2phoenix from that discord discussion:
it needs "smooth normals" applied
the problem is the normals got faced
which is necessary if any mesh editing is done, but it makes it triangle-y
if you have tris making any sort of curved surface, facing them will make it geometric-looking
so smoothing bends them slightly so it fakes a smooth curve
sometimes smoothing doesn't work and someone has to manually tweak them which sucks
and then also update tangents any time you touch normals
Might be fixable in nifskope just by doing "Smooth normals" and then "Update all tangent spaces", might need manual mesh editing.
