There is a circular pod that holds robots with a computer terminal on the side, used in locations throughout the game. Sometimes the first time you see it, the pod itself is missing, and you will just see the robot, and the computer terminal will be floating in the air. This could cause incorrect interactions with the robot because the robot is supposed to be inside the pod, because you should be required to interact with the computer first before you can gain access to the robot, but the pod is missing. Then if you go back later, the pod will be there.
One location where I observed this was the "Deserted Mineral Plant" type location, while walking up the ramps leading up to the plant.
Another location where I observed this was the "Abandoned Research Tower" type location, inside the tower.
