Issue #33993: Railroad meeting ignores Nick Valentine

 
You've just dealt with Kellog, you haven't gone to talk to Piper yet, Nick Valentine is still following you, you start The Freedom Trail, but when talking to the railroad for the first time under the old church, Deacon walks in and brings up how he's heard of you and what you did with Nick Valentine, who is in the room, being talked about in third person and ignored as if he isn't there at all. Nick Valentine says nothing and doesn't react positively or negatively to the conversation you're having or like he was name dropped at all.

(I did try the search function but couldn't find another post mentioning this)

This is probably an overlook by Bethesda rather than an actual bug, they can't record dialogue and interactions for every possible scenario.
Far more egregious is meeting the fake Preston Garvey with the real Preston as your companion and he says nothing at all to the imposter.

Ah, fair point, true enough.
One correction is that there is 2 parts of this conversation that valentine does react to, just not the initial parts
