Issue #34078: Restoring Order: cannot enter sewers in Solitude

 
This seems a rather new bug.

I've done this quest dozens of times, so I know the 'read all journals' - Stuff et.al, and never had any issues with it.

I did try again today, and all of a sudden... no more entry to the sewers. The quest tells the player to go there, but there is no questmarker and the sewers cannot be entered. (console works, so the sewers are still there)

I only use official Mods/creations and your patch of course. I disabled some of the newer paid creations, but it did not help.

This bug comes up since maybe 2 months now on reddit, so it seems to be rather new. At least it is new to me.

Edit: consoling into the sewers does work, but the ladder back up is also no longer there. Interestingly I tried it 3 times (doing the whole quest) and the first time the ladder WAS there, but now even that is missing... I wonder...

Couldn't get this solved btw... had to restart the whole run. Buuut... afaik Bethesdagames have a tendency to f_ck up quests, which the player starts early but does not finish for a long time. Seems to have something to do with the 'reset cell' - mechanism...

Lemme try again.

I started the quest early. Didn't finish it for a looong In-Game-Time.

Then started it. Did it correctly (I know this quest very well, did it many times).

Quest log tells me to go to the solitude sewers, but NO quest pointer. Of course I still go there, I know the quest as I said.

Buuuut there is no way in.

So I used the console to get in. Ladder was there, but no enemies, no Toron etc...

I loaded an older save, did the whole thing again... exactly same result.

I loaded again, did it again... this time even the Ladder back out was missing. I gave up and restarted the whole run.... yeah.... Beth rules...

If the solution is not an easy one... forget about it. I still think it has something to do with resetting cells fucking thing up. Aaand I THINK (I could be wrong) that one of the camps had lost one protagonist to some Frost troll, so maybe somewhere in the script this forked thing up as well. But, as I still got the update in the quest log, just not the Pointer... well, I don't know. As I said I could not solve it.
