The unofficial patch makes edits to the "View from the Vault" book items (Publick_Interview_01A, Publick_Interview_01B, Publick_Interview_01C, Publick_Interview_02A, Publick_Interview_02B, Publick_Interview_02C, Publick_Interview_02D, Publick_Interview_03A, Publick_Interview_03B, and Publick_Interview_03C) to fix text referring to the player. However, the fixes are only correct for female players because in several instances "Alias.PronounObj" was used to produce (him, her) text when "Alias.PronounPosObj" should have been used to produce (his, her) text instead.
For example, this text from Publick_Interview_01A in the editor:
A person who is experiencing the Commonwealth for the first time. What would <Alias.PronounObj=Player> fresh set of eyes say about how far we've come? Is Diamond City the "Great Green Jewel" we have always claimed it to be?
Will produce the following text for female player characters:
A person who is experiencing the Commonwealth for the first time. What would her fresh set of eyes say about how far we've come? Is Diamond City the "Great Green Jewel" we have always claimed it to be?
And the following text for male player characters (bolding added for emphasis):
A person who is experiencing the Commonwealth for the first time. What would him fresh set of eyes say about how far we've come? Is Diamond City the "Great Green Jewel" we have always claimed it to be?
This error occurs several times throughout the article.
You can refer to the alias subtag replacement section here for more information on what each subtag produces.
