If I use the local map of the New Atlantis area to travel to the Lodge, my follower gets teleported to the roof above the entrance dorr and then jumps down from up there while I approach the door. By 'local map', I mean the pseudo-3D map that didn't exist when the game was released. Using this map for fast traveling implies that you are already at some place on this map, and in these conditions, the bug occurs consistently.
Fast travelling from an external place (i.e. from any place outside the local map) can be accomplieshed in two ways:
(1) Via the planetary map, by selecting Jemison, then New Atlantis and finally clicking on the fast travel marker for the Lodge. When travelling in this way, the bug occurs consistently too.
(2) From the quest log: This only works when a quest gives you the objextive to travel to the Lodge. Then, you can set the destination from the quest log (with the respective quest active) and subsequently travel without ever clicking a fast travel marker. When I use this methof of fast travelling, the bug does consistently NOT occur - but I also end up in a different place, which is directly in front of the entrance door. With the other methods of fast travelling, I end up at a fair distance from the door (thus, the 'quest method' apparently uses a different set of markers).
One more thing: NPCs usually don't jump from buildings unless there's a specific edge marker in the navmersh, and that would have to be placed deliberately. Why ? Is that an official fix for the teleport not working properly ?
