I teleported to Dunbarrow Cove quite a bit when testing the issue with Ascended Immortals being there.
This might be due the general instability of the game engine, or related to other mods.

the only other mod I'm running is "Oblivion Remastered Script Extender (OBSE64)"
I am also using the Vortex Mod manager. What I have found is that there might be an issue either from the mod manager or the script extender that adds 2 files to Vortex load order ("AltarGymNavigation.esp" and "TamrielLeveledRegion.esp" ) which have been associated with crashing the Remastered game since the end of April.
But since I'm new to PC and to modding not sure how to remove these 2 files from the load order
PS those two files did appear after installing the script extender at the recommendation of Vortex

I'm using Vortex as well. The two plugins you mentioned come with the game, but are leftover, broken dev files.
Vortex will lock them at the end of your load order and prevent them from being enabled. You can safely ignore them.
This issue has been found to be caused by cleaning your game plugins with xEdit v4.1.5 builds L through O.
If you've cleaned your files you should undo it.
I've also seen reports of this issue from console players and those who haven't cleaned their plugins which suggests an engine bug may also cause it.

I don't recall messing with the plug in. have reset the plug in and validated the files with no mods. Still having an issue.
After some trial and error, I narrowed it down between two save files. my 90 hour save file on day 170 I can still access the Cove. My 98 hour day 188 save file I no longer have access
