After returning from the Beagle, you'll have to negotiate with the faction leaders. Depending on whom you sided with, you'll need to talk to either Genghis or Amanirenas to start the conversation scene. Unfortunately though, there is a woman standing guard (she's standing in that single spot all of the time and never moves) in a position between Genghis and Amanirenas (but closer to Genghis than to Amanirenas). Thus, if you start the scene by talking to Amanirenas, you'll never actually see Genghis while he's speaking, but only the face of that incredibly bored looking woman standing right in front of him; likewise, if you start the scene by talking to Genghis, Amanirenas's face will be partially hidden during the scene by the back of the head of that woman.

This is all I saw of Genghis during the scene [NB: this looks even more awkward due to Sam Coe having a "keeping my eyes closed day", but that glitch is unrelated and fixed itself after reloading a save game].
This problem can be very easily avoided by moving the marker that keeps the creepy woman in her spot (currently to the left of the stairs) to the right of the stairs. Her only purpose is apparently to stand guard, so it shouldn't matter on which side of the stairs she's doing that.
