It's hard to describe just how broken internally these were, most of the 3D people I showed them to were entirely horrified.
In summation:
- Fixed extremely broken skinning. (No visual change because the redone skinning mimics what they were TRYING to do with the broken mess of duplicate bones the old one was)
- fixed some UV issues.
- Two of the trees (03 and 04) had entire duplicate invisible copies of their geometry underground that were still wasting drawcalls.
- Several of the shapes were still in LE NiTriShape format instead of SE BsTriShape.
- Several blocks were missing names and could cause stability issues.
Also recalculated bounds (since now they don't have an invisible upside down clone of themselves throwing that off), updated and smoothed normals, and probably some other small things that I forgot, this has been a multi-month project with like four other 3D artists. The big thing is the significant fix to the skinning.
Now the bad news is that these pine trees also have Dead, Snow, Dead Snow, Ash, Dead Ash, and Large variants, all of which have the same issues and the fix can't just be copy pasted, but thats a problem for another time
