Issue #36343: Dawnguard refugees don't clean up if killed

Alvide, Jayri, Borknar, and Sern (the four Dawnguard refugees) don't ever clean up if they die for whatever reason. In case it matters I sided with the vampires and the entire Dawnguard main questline has been completed, including destroying the Dawnguard in their castle.

DLC1DialogueRefugeeCamp hasn't been shut down, which could be what is preventing the game from cleaning them up.

SQV console output:
Spoiler:
- 4 Aliases for quest 'DLC1DialogueRefugeeCamp' (020198F9) -
REF 'Jayri' -> ' ' (020198B9)
REF 'Alvide' -> ' ' (020198B7)
REF 'Barknar' -> ' ' (020198B5)
REF "Sern" -> ' ' (020198F8)

I don't think it's DLC1DialogueRefugeeCamp related, I think they need that WIDeadBodyCleanupScript applied.

Actually it is related. The aliases on a permanently running quest would be why they're never being culled by the engine.

If we can be sure that all 4 of them will ALWAYS be dead then that quest can get shut down which will leave their bodies behind long enough to be looted and then later culled.

The corpse cleanup script isn't appropriate to be used in an area where nobody is left alive to bury the bodies.

I received a notification, so I'd assume you're needing feedback from me about the issue. All four of the NPCs turned hostile after having wiped out the Dawnguard members in the fort. I don't think that they're scripted to do that; it may have been that I had a bounty in The Rift (hard to remember for sure) and that caused the hostility like sometimes does due to an engine issue when your bounty is removed after killing the last witness to crime. The chances of all of them being dead under normal circumstances is probably not high. The only time I can think of where they're likely to get killed is early on in the Dawnguard questline when vampires regularly spawn outside the fort. Hopefully that helps. You can let me know if you need more information.

I'm mainly trying to decide if it's safe to shut the quest down, or if using the cleanup script would work if they aren't all killed. Seems to me if you massacre the fort, they'd not be too happy about that, but it's been years since I last ran through as a vampire.

For sure if all 4 are dead the quest can be stopped since it's dialogue only they can use anyway.
